Studio8 is envisioned as a public space at Toronto’s Harbourfront, shaped by the energy, movement, and cultural activity of the waterfront. The identity draws from the surrounding shoreline, using curved forms that reflect the motion of waves across Lake Ontario. These same shapes also reference audio waveforms, connecting the space to music, live events, performances, and the shared experiences that bring people together in public environments.
The mark is designed to feel open, fluid, and adaptable, reflecting Studio8’s role as a place for gathering, creativity, and community engagement. In its individual form, the symbol can be read as an “S” for Studio. When the two forms are brought together, they create the number 8, giving the identity a clear visual connection to the name while reinforcing the idea of separate people, activities, and experiences coming together within one shared space.
